Job summary

WithumSmith+Brown PC is seeking a proposal writer to research and draft standard and customized proposals, manage pursuit documents, and coordinate content across subject-matter experts. You will ensure CRM data accuracy and align materials with win themes and brand standards.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong writing and organizational skills. A firm with strong growth and collaboration awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
• 2-4 years of experience in proposal writing, pursuit support, marketing communications or related role.
• Familiarity with APMP, Shipley or other proposal best practices is a plus.
• Experience in marketing, proposal writing or related field preferred.
• Experience with not-for-profit, education, healthcare, government or mission-driven orgs is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Copilot and Cowork.
• Professional services firm background and proposal automation familiarity are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Researching and writing standard and customized proposals.
• Drafting pursuit documents and maintaining baseline content for future use.
• Ensuring accuracy of lead gen information in CRM related to pursuits.
• Providing strategic insight into win themes and brand consistency.
• Managing proposals as a project, coordinating stakeholders and timelines.
• Creating proposal presentations aligned with win themes for senior approvals.
• Maintaining compliance with deadlines and pursuit procedures.
• Collaborating with Creative Services and other teams for content needs.
• Organizing complex information into reader-friendly formats; using AI-assisted drafting with safeguards.
• Capturing lead details in CRM for pipeline management.
