Job summary

Withum is seeking a Pursuit Strategist to coordinate proposal development and RFP activities within the Pursuit Team. You will collaborate with stakeholders to streamline content creation, maintain branding, and ensure timely delivery of proposals.

The role emphasizes research, drafting, content management in CRM, and strategic insight into win themes, with a focus on quality and compliance in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
• 2-4 years of experience in proposal writing, pursuit support, marketing communications or a related professional services role.
• Familiarity with APMP, Shipley or other proposal development best practices is a plus.
• Experience with not-for-profit, education, healthcare, government, social services or other mission-driven organizations is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word; familiarity with Copilot and Cowork for drafting proposals.

• Working as a project manager of assigned proposals and coordinating and executing proposal content development from subject matter experts.
• Creating proposal presentations mirroring proposal win themes for opportunities requiring buy-in from management.
• Maintaining compliance and adherence to proposal document deadlines and requirements.
• Adhering to Pursuit Team procedures and standards.
• Participation in continuous improvement of the pursuit process and content creation.
• Ensuring quality and consistency of the Firm's branding in proposal materials.

As a Pursuit Strategist in one of our offices, you will coordinate proposal development and Request For Proposal (RFP) activities. As a member of the Pursuit Team, you'll work in collaboration with key stakeholders.

How You'll Spend Your Time:

• Researching and writing standard and customized proposals.


• Drafting pursuit documents.


• Creating and maintaining baseline content for use in future pursuit documents through proposal automation software

• Ensuring quality and consistency of the Firm's branding in related proposal materials.


• Serving as a liaison between pursuit teams, Creative Services, Firm Admin, niche coordinators and other support functions for proposal document needs.


• Organizing complex information into tables, graphics, callouts and other reader-friendly formats, working with Creative Services as needed.


• Utilizing AI-assisted drafting while validating accuracy, protecting confidential information and maintaining the Firm's voice.


• Assisting with capturing lead details in CRM for pipeline management.

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.


• 2-4 years of experience in proposal writing, pursuit support, marketing communications, business development or a related professional services role.


• Familiarity with APMP, Shipley or other proposal development best practices is a plus.


• Experience in marketing, proposal writing or a related field preferred.


• Experience with not-for-profit, education, healthcare, government, social services or other mission-driven organizations is highly preferred.


• Strong proficiency or familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Copilot and Cowork.


• Professional services firm background, proposal automation and content development tool familiarity (QorusDocs, Loopio, Responsive, Jasper, for example) and CRM experience preferred.


• Strategic thinker with excellent writing, organizational and analytic skills, and strong attention to detail.


• Exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence with a demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner under deadlines in a dynamic work environment.


• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000-$75,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
