Job summary

Badger Meter Inc. is seeking a Proposal Team Coordinator Intern to join the Proposals Department for a summer internship at our Milwaukee facility.

You will support a cross-functional initiative to evaluate and enhance the RFX Checklist, with a focus on automated validation and risk mitigation, while learning business process analysis and workflow design. The role offers hands-on experience in documenting requirements, mapping processes, and testing prototypes, working with teams across Sales,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in MIS / Business Information Technology or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience creating process documentation, flowcharts, requirements documentation, or business documentation is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Review and document the current RFX Checklist, including processes, requirements, workflows, and pain points.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and risk reduction with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Evaluate and propose improvements to risk management and project tracking inside the proposal process.
• Define requirements for a redesigned RFX Checklist or replacement tool; map future-state workflows.
• Develop recommendations for automated validation requirements, required fields, workflow controls, and risk mitigation parameters.
• Collaborate with Proposals, Sales, Legal, Engineering, IT, and other teams; organize project information and report status.
