Job summary

Nationwide IT Services is hiring a Proposal Manager / Proposal Writer to join our Capture team in Fairfax, VA. This hybrid role supports federal proposal development, shaping content across technical, management, staffing, and past performance sections.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in federal proposals, strong writing/editing skills, and excels at coordinating with BD, Capture, PMs, and SMEs to deliver compliant, compelling responses.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience supporting Federal proposal development, proposal writing, proposal coordination, or technical writing.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and edit technical, management, staffing, and past performance sections.
• Transform technical notes and SME input into clear, customer-focused proposal narratives.
• Support proposal activities including kickoff meetings, color reviews, final editing, formatting, and submission.
• Maintain proposal templates, resumes, and past performance libraries while ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
• Write, edit, and coordinate proposal responses for Federal RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Task Orders, and White Papers.
• Work with Business Development, Capture, Program Managers, and technical SMEs to develop compliant, compelling proposal content.

Nationwide IT Services (NIS), a rapidly growing Federal Government contractor, is seeking a Proposal Manager / Proposal Writer to join our Capture team. This role is ideal for a strong writer looking to grow in Federal proposal management while supporting all phases of proposal development.

• Familiarity with IDIQs, GWACs, and Federal contract vehicles.
• Experience with compliance matrices, storyboards, color team reviews, and proposal production.

Salary range: $90,000 to $120,000 annually
