Job summary

Etegent Technologies in Beavercreek/Dayton area is seeking a Proposal Manager to oversee the full proposal lifecycle, from capture through submission. You will develop win themes, organize cost volumes, and ensure compliant, high‑quality proposals across RFIs, whitepapers, and other formats with input from engineering and contracts.

The role emphasizes structured proposal processes, SOPs, and collaboration with leadership to align with business strategy and execution of new opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience supporting federal proposal efforts (DoD preferred).
• Demonstrated technical writing experience for government proposals.
• Experience coordinating with technical engineers in a proposal environment.
• Understanding of federal solicitation structures and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and contributors simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, manage and own proposal efforts and process for assigned opportunities, including proposals, whitepapers, and RFI responses.
• Analyze solicitation documents and clearly summarize and track requirements for the proposal team.
• Lead proposal kickoff meetings and regular check-ins with the proposal team.
• Coordinate with internal engineers and technical stakeholders to gather inputs and information.
• Develop and enforce proposal outlines, compliance checklists, and milestone schedules.
• Maintain CRM records on proposals, proposal stages, and key data points.
• Track win rates, debrief feedback, and Bid & Proposal hours.
• Develop and maintain boilerplate materials and a centralized document repository.
• Attend customer and partner meetings as needed and support capture strategy.
• Serve as lead author for technical proposals and translate SME input into clear narratives.
• Develop structured outlines aligned with evaluation criteria and ensure consistency across submissions.
