Job description

GFT is seeking a Proposal Manager to join our BD&M team in Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Mechanicsburg, or Valley Forge), Georgia (Atlanta), or Maryland (Owings Mills or Baltimore) offices.

GFT's Shared Service team, including Human Resources, Legal, Accounting & Finance, IT Services, and Marketing & Communications, supports the company's global operations. These services are vital for transforming the business and enhancing efficiency, underpinning our ability to deliver infrastructure consulting and design services.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

The Proposal Manager supports multiple business lines to achieve growth in the federal market and meets strategic goals by leading business development support efforts, including:

  • Providing strategic proposal management for various proposal sizes
  • Leading capture planning in support of business line capture managers
  • Supporting Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients

Responsibilities include:

Proposals
  • Leading at least 2 complex proposals concurrently, along with smaller proposals as needed
  • Managing high-priority proposals, supervising work of supporting staff, and ensuring timely, high-quality submissions
  • Supporting interview preparations, facilitating meetings, and developing presentation content
  • Tracking opportunities and proposals in CRM
Capture Planning
  • Supporting capture efforts for medium to complex pursuits with minimal oversight
  • Collaborating with Business Line Leaders and Project Managers on capture activities like workshops, white papers, conference attendance, client development, gap analysis, and research
  • Updating CRM documentation and formatting capture plans per standards
Client Management
  • Coordinating activities for Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients, supporting meetings, research, and documentation
  • Ensuring client management plans are formatted and maintained according to standards

Qualifications:

  • A 4-year degree in English, marketing, journalism, communications, or related field

Preferred Experience:

  • 8-10 years in proposal development, sales/technical presentations, with at least 2 years supervising staff
  • Proficiency in capture planning and supporting pursuits
  • At least 6 years in GFT’s core service areas
  • Strong organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills
  • Experience participating in proposal interviews

Compensation: Salary ranges from $105,000 to $135,000, depending on experience and location.
