Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a proactive Proposal Manager to lead technical scopes and proposals from initiation to submission. You will align customer needs with engineering solutions, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.

The role liaises between sales, engineering, and project support, translating requirements into actionable scopes and comprehensive proposals while applying engineering services and estimating practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required or PMP cert with 6+ years experience.
• Associates degree with 4+ years relevant experience accepted.
• PMP or similar certification with 6 years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development meetings with sales and customers.
• Translate customer requirements into scopes of work and proposals.
• Collaborate with branches to obtain technical reviewer support for proposals.
• Estimate labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for proposals.
• Orchestrate proposal development, reviews, and submission to customers.
• Evaluate project risks and subcontractor alignment with scope and budget.
• Ensure bid documents are complete and submitted on time.
• Develop front-end milestones and construction schedules.
• Maintain regular communication with customers on proposal status.
