Qualifications

• Bachelor2 degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in proposal development, graphic design, marketing, or related role.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Develop thoughtful page layouts and create infographics, diagrams, maps, charts, matrices, and timelines.

• Assist with proposal development, kickoff and review meetings, and final deliverables.

As a Proposal Designer at Walker Partners, you will play a key role in developing visually compelling proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and other business development materials. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will transform complex technical information into clear, engaging, and visually polished content that effectively communicates Walker Partners’ qualifications, experience, and value to clients and communities. Your primary focus will be on thoughtful page layout, compelling written content, and impactful visual storytelling through diagrams, maps, and other graphics.

This is a great opportunity for a creative, highly organized, and detail-oriented marketing professional who thrives in both writing and design. This role requires a strong balance of graphic design, writing and editing, visual storytelling, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate can successfully manage multiple deadlines simultaneously while collaborating with technical staff to create high-quality deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and produce visually compelling proposals, statement of qualifications, presentations, and other pursuit-related materials that align with Walker Partners’ brand standards.
• Develop thoughtful page layouts and create infographics, diagrams, maps, charts, matrices, timelines, and other visual elements that communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
• Maintain proposal templates, project information, resumes, qualifications, and other business development resources.
• Collaborate with technical staff and marketing/administrative team members to gather project information and translate technical concepts into compelling written and visual content.
• Assist with the proposal development process, participating in kickoff and review meetings, and preparing final deliverables.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines while performing quality control to ensure materials are accurate, polished, visually consistent, and free of grammatical or formatting errors.
• Write, edit, and refine proposal content, project descriptions, and other marketing materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and impact.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in proposal development, graphic design, marketing, or related role
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing proposals, statements of qualifications, or other marketing materials.
• Experience supporting the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry
• Experience designing infographics, diagrams, maps, charts, and other visual storytelling elements
• Familiarity with RFQs, RFPs, and other competitive procurement processes
