Job summary

Walsh Group is seeking a Proposal Coordinator for our Long Beach, CA office supporting the Water division. You will coordinate with the proposal manager and team to prepare proposals, including formatting, layout, technical writing, and proofreading.

You will respond to external requests for prequals and qualifications, create materials, assist in client presentations, research markets and competitors, manage deadlines, and maintain SharePoint files.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Journalism, or English.
• 2–5 years of working experience, preferably in the AEC industry.
• Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral).
• Visual/layout sensibility with ability to create appealing materials.
• Proficiency in desktop publishing and marketing software.
• Experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Attention to detail and proofreading abilities.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently or in a team, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with proposal manager and team to prepare proposals, including formatting and proofreading.
• Respond to external requests for prequals and qualifications.
• Create materials like project write-ups, case studies, resumes for proposals.
• Assist in client presentation preparation, including slide decks.
• Research and update information, such as project descriptions and resumes.
• Research competitors and markets relevant to proposals.
• Meet proposal deadlines by setting priorities and dates.
• Read RFQs/RFPs and edit content for readability and compliance.
• Maintain strong relationships with staff to ensure timely input.
• Interface with technical professionals for writing and publishing documents.
• Work with marketing to update collateral.
• Manage electronic proposal files and SharePoint.
