Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western in Long Beach, CA seeks a Proposal Coordinator to support the Water division. You will coordinate with the proposal team on formatting, writing, and proofreading, and respond to prequal requests.

Ideal candidates have a marketing/graphic background, 2–5 years' experience in AEC, strong communication, and design skills with Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office; a salary range is provided with room for DOE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Journalism, or English.
• 2-5 years of experience, preferably in the AEC industry.
• Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral).
• Eye for visualization, layout, and/or graphic design skills.
• Proficiency in desktop publishing and marketing software.
• Experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Strong writing and editing skills (grammar/punctuation).
• Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines.
• MS Office 2010 suite including SharePoint

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with proposal manager to prepare proposals including formatting, layout, technical writing and proofreading.
• Respond to external requests for prequals, qualifications, etc.
• Create materials such as project write-ups, case studies, resumes for proposals and client presentations.
• Facilitate client presentation preparation including slide deck development.
• Research, write, and update project descriptions, resumes, and other qualification materials.
• Research competitors, markets and sectors and assess market share.
• Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates.
• Read RFQ/RFPs and edit proposal content for readability and compliance.
• Manage relationships with staff for accurate and timely input.
• Interface with technical professionals in writing, editing, and publication.
• Work with marketing to update collateral.
• Manage electronic proposal files, network database and SharePoint
