Starr Insurance Companies in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Underwriting Analyst, Property to join our team on a full-time basis. You will support account reservations, quote preparation, and document management across underwriting systems, collaborating with underwriters on renewals and new business.

The role emphasizes accuracy, strong communication, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of related underwriting experience.
• Accurate typing with strong proofreading and organization skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Enter Account Reservation for prospects and renewals.
• Run Catastrophe Modeling, obtain NIPR, ICE and D&B reports for new and renewal accounts.
• Assist Underwriters in renewal prep including Quotes/ Binders/ Account Summaries/ Endorsements/Layoff sheets.
• Prepare Loss Run Letters.
• Invoicing of new renewal and endorsement premium.
• Data entry into underwriting systems for new and renewal accounts.
• Assemble and prepare policies.
• Prepare monthly anniversary letters, provisional notices of cancellation, policy and endorsement correspondence.
• Save and file underwriting and engineering account information in shared drives.
