Job summary

Starr Insurance Companies seeks an experienced Underwriting Analyst to join our Property team in Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL. You will evaluate and analyze insurance policies to determine risk levels and establish premiums, ensuring underwriting standards are met for assigned accounts.

Key duties include preparing proposals, quotations, binders and endorsements, and coordinating with teams on renewals and reinsurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Multi-tasker and organized.
• Knowledge of Insurance industry.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit renewal property submission from various production sources.
• Analyze submitted risk information according to underwriting standards and guidelines.
• Prepare detailed account summaries and submit for approval.
• Develop, prepare and present quotation terms and conditions.
• Review and approve binding terms for new and renewal business, endorsements and amendments.
• Prepare insurance details for binders and reinsurance layoff sheets.
• Review and approve policy forms for new and renewal policies.
• Prepare and approve file documentation and internal reports.
