Job summary

CLA is seeking a Property Tax Senior to join our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice in the United States. You will review fixed asset documents, collaborate with clients and the tax team to fix data issues, and gain training on Avalara software as you prepare renditions for multiple industries.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, 2+ years of experience, and CPA eligibility is a plus. The role offers growth opportunities within CLA's national platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• CPA eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review fixed asset detail documents submitted by clients required for property tax renditions
• Work with client and property tax team to resolve identified data issues
• Receive training on Avalara software
• Utilize Avalara to prepare and review property tax renditions
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed
• Review and resolve property tax notices received from Assessors
• Identify discrepancies where filing an appeal may be required
• Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results
