Job summary

Harris County in Houston seeks a Property Tax System Support Technical Analyst to ensure accurate billing, data integrity, and system reliability within the Property Tax Division of the Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office. You will perform data analysis, system testing, and data file processing to support ACT and related workflows.

Responsibilities include importing monthly tax data from CADs, preparing tax statements, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in information technology, computer science, MIS, or five years of related experience.
• Minimum of five years in a professional office environment with Systems Analysis or Production Support.
• Proficient in SQL, TOAD, Oracle, Monarch, and FileZilla.

Responsibilities

• Import monthly property tax data from Harris, Fort Bend, and Montgomery CADs into the ACT system.
• Prepare and mail property tax statements, including notices.
• Analyze and resolve data discrepancies using SQL and perform system testing.
• Provide ACT system support (password resets, work orders).
• Generate delinquent data files for law firms and public requests.
