Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of general office or retail experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic payment processing and knowledge of credit card and e-check processing preferred.
• Experience with business machines, computers and basic business math is desired.
• Knowledge of property tax processing is desired.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assessment and collection functions for property tax billing and payments.
• Interact with tax office staff, appraisal districts, title and mortgage companies, and taxpayers.
• Resolves tax problems in person or over the phone.
• Research tax questions and provide appropriate responses.
• Assist clerks and maintain accurate filing and records.
• Ensure accuracy of funds collected and posting of transactions to accounts.
