Job summary

The City and County of Broomfield seeks an Assessment Supervisor to support the Assessor Department. The role supervises administrative tasks, coordinates valuation processes, and ensures accurate reporting and data integrity across systems.

Ideal candidates are detail‑oriented problem solvers who meet deadlines, are tech‑savvy, and capable of guiding staff. The position involves collaboration with county/state officials and ongoing process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting or finance or related field.
• 4 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience with research/analysis and office skills.
• 1 year supervisory or lead experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assume duties of the Assessor during absence or unavailability.
• Establish guidelines for the assessment process.
• Complete mandatory reports such as notice of valuation, abstract of assessment, certification, tax roll, and related reports.
• Monitor abatements and caseloads; coordinate hearing dates with the county clerk's office.
• Develop procedures for efficiency and quality control of data and processes.
• Maintain integrity of the assessor database through software reports.
• Prepare/oversee budget requests and monthly financial reports.
