Job summary

Accessible Space, Inc. seeks a part-time Property Caretaker / Maintenance person for an apartment building in Kansas City, KS. A caretaker unit is available rent-free with pay of $21–$24 per hour.

You will maintain a clean, safe environment, perform minor repairs, handle unit turnovers, and support routine maintenance and inspections. Typical hours Monday–Friday 7am–6pm with full-time hours available at another location.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs.
• Work independently.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with individuals.
• Availability to complete general work responsibilities Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs.
• Do all duties related to unit turnovers.
• Carry out ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks.
• Implement required unit and building inspections.
• Perform routine errands.
• Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work.
