Responsibilities include overseeing leasing, maintenance, budgeting, and reporting while ensuring compliance with fair housing laws and company policies. The role requires experience managing a multifamily property, a proactive operational mindset, and strong people skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in residential property management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a budget, read a financial statement, and act on variances.
• Working knowledge of fair housing laws and landlord–tenant regulations.
• Proficiency with property management software such as AppFolio, Yardi, RealPage, or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, owners, and vendors.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional weekends during high-traffic leasing periods.

Responsibilities

• Own the property's operating budget and monitor income/expenses monthly to achieve NOI targets.
• Review financial and operational reports, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage delinquency with follow-up, payment plans, and timely initiation of legal steps when necessary.
• Approve invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments per budget authority and policy.
• Prepare owner reports communicating performance, risks, and forward-looking recommendations.
• Oversee leasing process from lead generation to lease execution to maintain occupancy and revenue.
• Coach the leasing team on sales techniques, follow-up cadence, and conversion.
• Ensure lease documentation and move-in procedures meet company policy.
• Maintain resident communication and service delivery standards across the team.
• Resolve resident concerns and escalate complex issues when needed.
• Lead retention efforts including lease renewals and move-out recovery conversations.
• Coordinate with maintenance on work orders, unit turns, and preventive maintenance.
