Job summary

Schochet is seeking an experienced Property Manager for a 234-unit multifamily community in Orange, MA. You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and build strong relationships with residents and vendors.

Experience with Section 8 and LIHTC housing is essential. You will manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and focus on resident satisfaction while leading a team to excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of multifamily property management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Section 8 and Tax Credit/LIHTC programs.
• Previous experience supervising and developing property-management staff.
• Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Yardi experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of a 234-unit apartment community.
• Lead, train, motivate, and evaluate property-management staff.
• Build positive relationships with residents, prospective residents, vendors, employees, and the community.
• Address and resolve resident concerns and complaints.
• Oversee rent calculations, rent collection, delinquency notices, and legal actions when needed.
• Manage subsidy collections and related issues.
• Oversee annual and interim resident recertifications.
• Ensure compliance with Section 8, LIHTC/Tax Credit, state, and federal regulations.
• Develop and manage the annual property budget.
• Complete inspections, monthly reports, and other required property documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all certifications and compliance requirements are completed on time.
