Job summary

The John Stewart Company is seeking a Property Manager to oversee daily operations of a 1-bedroom unit and ensure compliance with HUD, TCAC, and local regulations in Los Angeles. The role requires coordinating staff, maintaining resident files, and enforcing lease policies in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with Tax Credit properties and proficiency in MS Office are essential; Boston Post experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Minimum of 2 years in management, training and evaluation with Tax Credit properties.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook; Boston Post is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent application of property rules and lease documents and report violations.
• Maintain resident files at move-in and at recertifications per guidelines.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate all staff.
• Ensure program compliance with HUD, TCAC, Home Program, RHCP, CAL HFA, AHP, etc.
• Obtain documentation, certifications and manage deposits and rents per policies.
• Address resident requests or complaints promptly and courteously.
• Complete work orders and turnover of vacant units promptly.
