Job summary

Elmcrest Village in Flushing, MI is seeking a Property Manager to oversee the property's overall performance, ensure HUD/LIHTC compliance, and lead staff to deliver excellent resident services.

The role focuses on occupancy management, rent collection, maintenance, and satisfaction while meeting REAC and MOR standards. Travel to sites may be required; experience in affordable housing is essential.

Qualifications

• Three years’ HUD Section 8 and LIHTC experience preferred.
• Housing experience preferred, especially HUD/LIHTC programs.
• Must be willing and able to travel.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze problems and implement corrective actions.
• Strong budgeting and business operations understanding.

Responsibilities

• Foster an inclusive working environment.
• Promote growth by implementing training and development plans for employees.
• Ensure that employees have the necessary tools to be successful.
• Collect 100% of the rent every month; manage delinquencies as appropriate.
• Maintain and increase occupancy; maximize rent potential of market-rate units.
• Maintain and process application waiting list; conduct resident certification.
• Ensure compliance with REAC/MOR inspections and HUD/LIHTC regulations.
• Plan and execute activities throughout the year; handle tenant complaints promptly.
