Job summary

MRK is seeking a Property Manager in Maryland to oversee day-to-day property operations, including revenue collection, expense control, and compliance with lease and funding requirements. You will lead staff, ensure safety and maintenance standards, and coordinate resident relations and repairs.

Responsibilities include budgeting, capital project oversight (HVAC, roofing, parking), documentation, and timely certification for LIHTC and other programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in property management.
• 2+ years supervisory experience including budget processing, accounting, compliance, and hiring/performance management.
• Experience with Public Housing, Project-based Voucher, Tax Credit, and Section 8 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures property meets all contractual and operational obligations—safety, security, maintenance, marketing, landscaping, etc.
• Develops and administers operating and capital expense budgets; forecasts and oversees major capital projects (HVAC, roofing, parking, etc).
• Completes initial applications and annual re-certifications for funding sources (LIHTC, Home, Public Housing, etc.).
• Maintains complete, accurate, compliant documentation and property files.
• Coordinates timely revenue collection in accordance with lease obligations and accounts receivable procedures.
• Manages resident relations and coordinates repair/maintenance requests.
• Coordinates candidate interviews with district/regional manager; facilitates onboarding and training.
• Provides ongoing performance feedback and counsels underperforming employees.
