Job summary

JES Holdings in Missouri is seeking a proactive Property Manager to oversee daily operations of assigned properties, market and lease units, and manage budgets with a focus on affordable housing compliance. The role requires strong customer service, adherence to Fair Housing rules, and coordination with compliance teams.

You will supervise staff, handle maintenance and inspections, and ensure timely rent collection while maintaining occupancy targets and high resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years in affordable housing experience with LIHTC or Section 8.
• Solid understanding of Fair Housing regulations.
• Experience with income qualification, tenant files, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned properties and ensure compliance with affordable housing programs.
• Market and lease apartments, maintain occupancy targets, and manage property budgets.
• Address resident concerns, process work orders, and supervise property staff.
• Coordinate annual re-certifications and inspections with state and government agencies.
• Conduct unit inspections, enforce safety and curb appeal standards, and supervise vendors.
• Ensure timely rent collection and deposit, and maintain applicant waiting lists.
• Lead marketing and leasing strategy and participate in regional training as needed.
