Job summary

Frey Consulting Group in San Diego, CA is seeking a hands-on Property Manager to handle day-to-day operations of residential rental properties. You will know the properties you manage, communicate with owners and tenants, and ensure maintenance or lease issues are resolved promptly.

The role emphasizes staying organized across multiple properties, coordinating move-ins/outs, inspections, leases, and rent collection, while upholding Fair Housing requirements and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Previous property management, real estate, leasing, or residential housing experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to take decisions and assume responsibility for assigned properties.
• Good organization and ability to manage several properties and ongoing issues.
• Working knowledge of leases, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and Fair Housing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residential rental properties and serve as a regular contact for owners and tenants.
• Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, inspections, and tenant communication.
• Follow up on rent payments and address account or lease issues as they arise.
• Work with maintenance teams and outside vendors to schedule and complete repairs.
• Conduct routine property inspections and document items requiring attention.
• Keep property owners informed about maintenance, vacancies, tenant concerns, and other matters.
• Assist in preparing vacant properties for new tenants and coordinate with the leasing team.
• Maintain accurate property, lease, inspection, and maintenance records.
• Handle difficult situations professionally and work toward practical solutions that protect both property and owner interests.
