Job summary

West Coast Self-Storage Group in Palm Desert, CA seeks a full-time associate to drive sales and leasing. Your day includes evaluating storage needs, presenting units, and managing pricing and discounts to hit budgets. You will ensure clean, well-maintained units and coordinate vendors and auctions as needed.

The role requires weekend work and strong customer service, cash handling, and MS Office skills; additional duties may be assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

• Retail sales, cash handling and customer service experience.
• Ability to self-manage and work weekends/holidays as required.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service in person, by phone and online.
• Hit monthly and annual store budgets with planning.
• Manage web pricing, discounts and lease processes.
• Maintain property to West Coast standards: cleaning and repairs.
• Coordinate vendors and CapEx projects; drive auction processes.
• Show units and guide customers through leasing; balance cash drawer.

Schedule:

Full-time, Tues-Sat (Off Sun/Mon), working from 9:30am-6:00pm.

Day to Day:

• Provide exceptional customer service including assessing customers storage needs (in person, phone and web inquiries)
• Create store plan to hit budget monthly and annually
• Web pricing and discount management
• Ensure property is maintained to West Coast’s Clean & Operational standards, e.g., cleaning vacated units, sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs
• Manage Vendors and Cap Ex projects
• Drive auction process
• Show available units and guide customers through the leasing process
• Manage, audit and balance cash drawer and petty cash
• Other duties assigned by leadership

What You Will Bring:

• Retail Sales, Cash Management, and Customer Service experience
• Ability to self-manage while working independently to achieve team and company objectives
• Ability to work weekends and some holidays (required)
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
