Job description

We are partnering with a growing real estate investment and development firm with a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with direct access to leadership and opportunities to take ownership of meaningful projects. The company is seeking property management professionals at the junior, mid, and senior levels to support its expanding portfolio.

Position Overview-Property Manager

We are seeking a proactive, organized property management professional to support a national real estate portfolio. This role combines property operations, vendor management, financial oversight, and coordination of property improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities will reflect the individual’s experience. Junior and mid-level professionals will take ownership of assigned properties and projects, while senior candidates will bring leadership, help strengthen processes, and support the development of the broader team.

The company welcomes candidates from property management, asset management, and multifamily backgrounds. Experience in a specific asset class is less important than sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to succeed in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
Property & Portfolio Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day operations for assigned properties, coordinating maintenance, repairs, service providers, and other property needs.
  • Identify operational issues, prioritize solutions, and follow through to completion.
  • Work closely with leadership to execute property business plans and improve portfolio performance.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams, vendors, and other property stakeholders.
  • Support property budgeting, expense tracking, and financial performance reviews.
  • Review vendor proposals, invoices, and service agreements for accuracy, scope, and value.
  • Monitor operating costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Provide updates on property performance, upcoming expenses, and outstanding priorities.
  • Source, evaluate, and coordinate vendors, contractors, and outside consultants.
  • Compare bids and clarify scopes of work, pricing, and timelines.
  • Track maintenance, renovation, and capital improvement projects.
  • Hold vendors accountable for quality, responsiveness, and timely completion.
  • Support development-related initiatives by coordinating project information and external partners as needed.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Help establish consistent property management processes, reporting practices, and accountability.
  • Lead more complex property initiatives and resolve escalated operational issues.
  • Partner with leadership to prioritize portfolio needs and execute business plans.
Qualifications
  • Relevant experience in property management, asset management, real estate operations, or a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple properties, projects, or competing priorities.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, reviewing expenses, and resolving operational issues.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership and works effectively within a small, hardworking team.
  • For senior candidates, demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to guide others through complex assignments.
Helpful Additional Experience
  • Oversight of renovations, capital improvements, or property redevelopment projects.
  • Familiarity with construction plans, contractor scopes, or development processes.
  • Exposure to consultant coordination, zoning, permitting, or municipal approvals.

Direct construction management experience is not required. The company is open to professionals from different real estate asset classes who bring transferable skills, initiative, and a collaborative approach.
