About the Role
This role suits someone who enjoys working with residents, stays organized, and prefers running a smaller community rather than a large portfolio. The property has consistently high occupancy and an established waiting list. - Manage property budgets, expenses, rent collections, and financial reporting
- Maintain accurate resident files, payment records, deposits, and accounts payable
- Process housing applications, verify eligibility, and maintain the property's waiting list
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8 program requirements
- Complete income verifications, certifications, and recertifications
- Maintain and monitor Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) reports in accordance with HUD requirements
- Conduct routine property inspections for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards
- Coordinate with maintenance staff so service requests are addressed promptly
- Respond to resident questions, concerns, and requests professionally
- Ensure property policies, procedures, and applicable housing regulations are followed
What You'll Need
Required:
- Previous Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) experience
- Experience with affordable housing compliance, income certifications, and eligibility requirements
- Strong administrative, organizational, and recordkeeping skills
Preferred:
- Knowledge of HUD and Section 8 housing programs
- Previous property management or affordable housing administration experience
- Tax credit compliance certification (TCS, COS, C3P, or similar)
Skills That Matter Here
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities without losing attention to detail
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain positive relationships with residents and staff
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- $25.00–$27.50/hour
- Stable Monday–Friday daytime schedule
- A smaller community with consistently high occupancy, so you can manage it well instead of spreading yourself thin
- The chance to build lasting relationships with residents
- A mix of property management, administration, and resident services
