Job summary

DPMG Prime, a Lansing-based property management company, is hiring a Property Management Bookkeeper to own the financial side of the properties we manage—full-cycle AP/AR, reconciliations, budgets, and owner reporting that keep our properties, owners, and residents on solid financial ground.

You will report to the Director of Property Management and work alongside our leasing and maintenance teams to ensure accurate ledgers, timely owner statements, and compliant year-end processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, including AP/AR and accrual‑basis work.
• Hands-on property management or property accounting background with leases, rent rolls, owner statements, and security deposits.
• Experience with property management software (AppFolio strongly preferred; Yardi, Buildium, or Rent Manager also welcome).
• Proficiency in Excel and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage all accounting duties: payable, receivable & reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for owners and tenants.
• Coordinate and implement annual property budgets, tracking performance against actuals.
• Reconcile and audit operating expenses, estimates and bank accounts.
• Maintain accurate property ledgers and records, ensuring proper allocation of expenses.
