Job summary

The John Stewart Company in Campbell, CA is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in daily operations, enforce policies, and maintain occupancy at our affordable housing communities. You will liaise with vendors, onsite staff, and residents.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of property management experience, familiarity with Tax Credit properties, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• English fluency is required.
• 1–2 years property management experience, preferably with Tax Credit properties.
• Experience managing affordable housing properties.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Interviews and screens prospective residents for occupancy.
• Prepares, processes and signs leases and rules.
• Purchases general supplies and services per policy.
• Assists with inspections and monitoring work orders.
• Manages rent collection and deposits with property software.
• Writes warning letters and prepares legal notices to residents.
• Submits reports and maintains records per JSCo policy.
• Performs related duties as required.
