Job summary

Brookfield Properties is seeking an on-site Property Manager Assistant for our Chicago-area apartment community. You will assist with daily operations, leasing, and administrative tasks to support the Property Manager and maintain high NOI.

You will monitor regulatory compliance, handle vendor invoicing, and ensure resident services requests are completed promptly, contributing to a well-run property with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in property management or accounting/ bookkeeping preferred.
• 1-2 years of leasing, bookkeeping, or operations experience required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on property.
• Skills: fair housing laws, property management, MS Office.
• Preferred: Yardi, customer service, accountability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager with general administration and daily operations of the apartment community.
• Cross-train on Property Manager functions and act in the Manager’s absence.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies; monitor performance of the property.
