Greystar is seeking a Service Technician for 30 East in Chicago to perform hands-on maintenance and service across buildings, grounds, and amenities. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, and assist in preparing vacant units for leasing while adhering to safety and company standards.

The role requires at least 2 years in property maintenance, EPA refrigerant certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related training.
• Minimum 2 years of property maintenance or related trade experience.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant certification.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair building systems per policy, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Track inventory, obtain supplies, and coordinate with maintenance supervisor on re-orders.
• Document service requests accurately to ensure proper records and tracking.
• Assist in grounds maintenance, general cleaning, and painting curb and signage as needed.
• Inspect contractor work to verify quality, materials, and adherence to scope and specifications.
• Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety and risk concerns and report to management.
