Job summary

GY Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a small, professional team responsible for keeping apartment buildings clean and well-maintained. The role requires independence, reliability, and adherence to health and safety guidelines while performing painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs.

Responsibilities include maintaining electrical, heating, and plumbing systems, inspecting alarm systems, and helping with pest control and upkeep tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Willingness to work overtime as part of on-call rotation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of electrical systems and lighting replacements.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs as needed.
• Repair locks, replace windows, and perform general carpentry tasks.
• Assist with pest control activities when required.
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to meet safety standards.
• Undertake landscaping and other maintenance tasks as assigned.
