Job summary

ELS in Nokomis, Florida, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of tasks including light appliance repairs, painting, carpentry, plumbing, groundskeeping, and janitorial duties to keep our community well maintained.

You will work as part of a team to meet quality maintenance standards, report concerns to management, move heavy objects, possibly drive maintenance trucks, and monitor inventory while coordinating with staff on daily projects and emergencies after hours.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle heavy equipment.
• Willing to be on call for after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain amenity spaces and ensure they work properly.
• Keep grounds free of trash and debris.
• Work with management to keep property clean, safe, and appealing.
• Attend morning staff meetings for daily vendor appointments and tasks.
• Communicate with maintenance team, management, and staff on projects.
• Report issues to management and perform repairs.
• Move heavy objects and may drive maintenance trucks.
• Monitor inventory and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
