Job summary

The RMR Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Supervisor in preserving the property's physical integrity and safety. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, assist with make-ready repairs, and respond to priority requests while ensuring compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations.

You will diagnose a range of issues from electrical to plumbing, operate with safety in mind, and maintain tools and storage areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years' experience in maintenance property management.
• EPA Universal Certification Required.
• CPO Certification Preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Rotating on-call including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the property in a safe, secure, and comfortable condition.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as directed.
• Inspect utility meters, cut-offs, and sewer clean-outs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance issues.
• Coordinate make-ready repairs and assist make-ready staff to meet deadlines.
• Report major repairs to Maintenance Supervisor before expenditures.
• Assist with moving heavy appliances and equipment as needed.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
