Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Jersey City property to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet safety and quality standards. You will handle work orders, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with make-ready tasks for vacants.

Daily duties include documenting service requests, inventory management, and adhering to safety policies while supporting cost-control programs. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1, II or Universal refrigerant certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• State and local certifications as required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance per policy.
• Carry out make-ready process for vacant apartments and inspections.
• Procure materials, track inventory, and coordinate with vendors.
• Document service requests accurately and timely.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
