Job summary

SMC is seeking a Service Technician in Silver Spring, MD to diagnose problems and perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more. You will follow safety standards, complete maintenance tasks, document work, and support on-call rotations.

You will maintain tools, follow the internal quality controls, and contribute to community engagement as part of a hands-on maintenance team. Previous maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of maintenance experience required.
• Basic Electric class completion required.
• Must complete internal maintenance training within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
• Address service requests and document work performed.
• Maintain inventory and participate in preventive maintenance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency maintenance as needed.
• Ensure quality control and proper documentation.
