rossorecruiting is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time, on-site role at a residential community in Illinois. The position requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, with HVAC experience preferred. Certification is recommended but not required.

You will perform day-to-day repairs, preventive maintenance, and collaborate with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly. On-site housing is available, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanic repairs and replacements, furnaces, split systems, water heaters, and other maintence tasks
• Completes general labor tasks and other duties as assigned
• Handles designated work orders and service requests in a timely manner
• Assists maintenance in maintaining a clean and orderly shop
• Knows when to upscale maintenance issues to management
• Maintains a courteous and professional demeanor with residents, prospective residents, coworkers, and vendors
• Performs general cleaning and snow removal
• Works on-call, overtime, weekend, holiday, and evening hours as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience; apartment maintenance experience preferred
• Display proficiency performing day-to-day tasks, preventive maintenance, and work orders
• Team-oriented, dependable, resourceful, flexible, and results-driven
• Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC experience; certification preferred
• Certified Pool Operator, a plus

Physical Requirements

Frequently lifts and carries up to 45 pounds; occasionally up to 80 pounds

Pushes and/or pulls appliances using an appliance dolly up to 200 pounds

Moves objects from one floor to another

Frequently bends/stoops, climbs stairs, kneels, balances, reaches above shoulder height, walks, and twists

Normal range of vision, hearing, and speech required
