Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanic repairs and replacements, including furnaces, split systems, water heaters, and other maintenance tasks.
• Complete general labor tasks and other duties as assigned.
• Handle designated work orders and service requests in a timely manner.
• Assist maintenance in maintaining a clean and orderly shop.
• Know when to elevate maintenance issues to management.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with residents, prospective residents, coworkers, and vendors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience; apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Display proficiency performing day‑to‑day tasks, preventive maintenance, and work orders.
• Team‑oriented, dependable, resourceful, flexible, and results‑driven.
• Well‑organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC experience; certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lifts and carries up to 45 pounds; occasionally up to 80 pounds.
• Pushes and/or pulls appliances using an appliance dolly up to 200 pounds.
• Moves objects from one floor to another.
• Frequently bends/stoops, climbs stairs, kneels, balances, reaches above shoulder height, walks, and twists.
• Normal range of vision, hearing, and speech required.
