Job summary

Tailwind Group, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Quarters Gainesville, a 251-unit student housing community. The role focuses on preventative upkeep, capital improvements, and repairs to uphold a high standard of resident experience.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with occasional evenings or weekends. Compensation ranges from $17.18 to $23.62 per hour plus bonus potential, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

One or more years of experience in building maintenance; student housing experience is a plus.
Experience with HVAC and appliance repair.
A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Monitor residential sites and common areas for curb appeal and cleanliness.
Review and follow up on work orders to ensure completion within guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and officials.
Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and oversee contractors for quality work.
Respond to after-hours emergency issues.
Develop a preventative maintenance program to minimize owner costs.
Assist with inventory of vehicles, machinery, and tools.
Assist with annual unit turnover and move-in/move-out procedures.
