Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our on-site maintenance team at our Tempe properties. You will manage daily maintenance tasks, preventive upkeep, and vendor work to ensure high-quality service and property condition.

You bring knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, strong supervisory skills, and a hands-on approach. This role offers competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities within AMC.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and recommending for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel with the manager.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take initiative to improve processes and maintenance methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Hold the maintenance team to meet expectations including attendance.
• Schedule and supervise vendor work.
• Oversee inventory, ordering and delivery of supplies for service, custodial and grounds.
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and respond 24/7.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
