Job summary

Birchstone Residential is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to oversee day-to-day maintenance at the assigned Birchstone community. You will execute regular and preventative maintenance, inspect units and grounds, train staff, and support capital projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating service requests, ensuring safety and compliance, and aiding in cost-control initiatives through repairs where possible. A hands-on manager who can work with vendors and residents is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Two (2) or more years work experience in maintenance, with at least one (1) year of experience.
• Supervising service teams is required.
• One (1) or more years work experience in multi-family property maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute and participate in Birchstone’s maintenance programs and initiatives.
• Assist the Service Manager in operations to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
• Conduct frequent property and unit inspections and document action plans.
• Manage make-ready checklists and apartment turns within budget and 5 business days.
