Capital Square Living is seeking a Service (Maintenance) Specialist to maintain the physical aspects of our properties in Chester, VA. The role focuses on cleanliness, safety, and functionality of buildings, grounds, and amenities, with on-site responsibilities and on-call flexibility.

You will handle maintenance work orders, preventive tasks, and prepare units for leasing while procuring supplies and assisting in inspections. A team-oriented, customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and fix problems.
• Strong organizational skills with a customer service mindset.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance.
• Makes repairs following safety standards and codes.
• Prepares vacant units for leasing and new move-ins.
• Obtains supplies and completes maintenance tasks; inspects work.
• Assists in grounds and common areas maintenance, trash pickup.
• Pressure-washes walkways, pool areas and paints curbs/signage as needed.
• Helps conduct property inspections to identify safety concerns.
• Responds to questions and resolves resident issues calmly.
• Keeps property in good repair and communicates needs to management.
