Vest Residential in Charleston, SC is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet safety, cleanliness, and functional standards for residents and staff.

You will respond to resident work orders and preventative maintenance, conduct make-ready inspections for vacant apartments, manage materials and inventory, document work performed, assist with grounds upkeep, and oversee or inspect contractor work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.

Responsabilités

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs per policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work.
• Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the property’s maintenance department by tracking inventory used, returning unused items, and notifying the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and other paperwork in a timely, accurate manner so service requests can be documented and tracked.
• Assists in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and practicing safe use of tools and materials.
