Job summary

Drucker + Falk, LLC is seeking a Service Manager/Maintenance Superintendent to oversee the physical upkeep of the community, operate all mechanical equipment, and supervise maintenance staff under the Property Manager's direction.

The role emphasizes safety, preventative maintenance, on-call emergencies, budget adherence, vendor coordination, and ensuring vacant apartments are ready for occupancy, while maintaining strong resident relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate all mechanical equipment and supervise maintenance staff.
• Train staff, schedule routine maintenance, and manage on-call emergencies.
• Coordinate with the Property Manager on budgeting, purchasing, and bids.
• Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and scheduling preventative maintenance.
• Ensure vacancies are turned into units ready for occupancy per policy.
• Maintain records and reports for OSHA-related programs and safety compliance.
