Job summary

Hunt Companies is seeking a Maintenance Manager to assist the Maintenance/Community Director in preserving the property’s condition, safety, and appearance. The role includes preventive maintenance, inspections, inventory control, and scheduling tasks to keep units market-ready.

Responsibilities cover supervising technicians, managing budgets, training, and coordinating repairs and make-ready efforts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; advanced training or degree preferred.
• 5+ years of building maintenance experience; 1-3 years supervisory experience.
• Experience with administrative reporting and Yardi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Maintenance Technicians including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Manage maintenance budget and ensure operations stay within purchasing guidelines.
• Schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance staff and ensure training compliance.
• Prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion and quality results.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and company policies.
• Oversee make-ready of vacant units and routine property inspections.
• Prepare purchase orders and manage inventory of parts and supplies.
• Assist in annual/semi-annual unit inspections and special projects.
• Drive to job sites using company or personal vehicles as needed.
