Job summary

Link Apartments Montford in Charlotte, NC is seeking a hands-on Senior Service Supervisor to lead maintenance across our community. You’ll oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and daily operations to keep spaces well cared-for and welcoming for residents.

You’ll manage a maintenance team, coordinate schedules with the Property Manager, supervise turnover, track inventory, and ensure safety while staying within budget. Experience with Yardi is a plus; CPO and CFC certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least five years’ experience in this field.
• Oversee maintenance operations of multiple sites including lease‑up and stabilized sites.
• CPO certification required.
• CFC Type I & II certification required; CFC Universal certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of heat pump, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, and carpentry.
• Interest and enthusiasm for the job.
• Pleasant personality and ability to work with residents.
• Experience with Yardi software systems, a plus.
• Good organizational and mechanical skills.
• Ability to maintain an inventory system.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Mastery: inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing, roofs, gutters, facilities to ensure smooth operation.
• Team Leadership: guide maintenance crew and coordinate with contractors for quality delivery.
• Apartment turnover: inspect, paint, and clean to prepare move-ins.
• Inventory: track supplies and tools to keep operations stocked.
• Pool management: maintain safety and cleanliness of pool area.
• Safety stewardship: adhere to all standards and protocols.
• Scheduling: coordinate with the Property Manager for routine and urgent tasks.
• Team building: hire, train, and retain a capable maintenance crew.
• Budgeting: monitor expenditures and report deviations to the Property Manager.
• Resident relations: be the face of maintenance and ensure a welcoming community.
