Job summary

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems across its coastal properties.

The role supports guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and service corridors to uphold safety and guest comfort. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect equipment, and assist with emergencies while adhering to Signature Service standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two‑year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience.
• Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and simple instructions, short correspondence, blueprints and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in English.

Responsibilities

• All repairs and maintenance performed to the highest standard.
• Conducts regular preventative maintenance including belts and coils.
• Maintains HVAC systems and electrical components.
• Repairs plumbing and related fixtures in guest rooms and public areas.
• Maintains tools and equipment in the engineering department.
• Ensure safety and compliance with codes and regulations.
