The role includes a variety of tasks from carpentry to plumbing, requiring a valid driver's license and relevant experience. Vesta is currently seeking a Full-Time Property Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance team toassist with thetotal maintenance of all areas of housing residences and offices located throughout the Maryland area. Travel between Lanham, Odenton, Forestville, and Waldorf, Maryland would be required.
Hours are Monday through Friday, and some weekends as emergencies arise.
The position requires a valid driver’s license, clear driving record, and background check. Use of personal vehicle would be required,and with reimbursement of mileage.
Essential Functions of the position:
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $25.01/hour - $28.01/hour, paid bi-weekly, with opportunities for overtime. Salary calculated based on education and experience.
Other Compensation: Employees are eligible for bonuses (variable, depending on company and individual performance) and paid training.
PTO: New employees can accrue up to 96 hours of PTO in the first year (pro-rated based on start date and hours worked). Employees can accrue up to 40 hours of sick leave per calendar year (pro-rated based on start date and hours worked).
Holidays: Full-Time employees receive 8 paid holidays per year, with overtime if required to work. Part-Time employees are eligible for overtime if required to work on holidays.
Retirement: 403(b) plan participation available at hire. Employer matching after 1000 hours of service. Discretionary employer contributions are given at least once a year.
Health Benefits: Full and Part-Time Employees are eligible for benefits beginning the first day of the month after hire. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision (single and family), flex-spending accounts (FSA and Dependent Care).
