Job summary

Hamilton Point Property Management in Madison, AL is seeking a Porter/Groundskeeper to maintain grounds, clean common areas, and support the maintenance team. You will pick up trash, clean dumpster areas, and use power blower/pressure washer on breezeways, steps, sidewalks, and pool areas.

• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to use computer-tracking systems used at the property.
• Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system.
• Current driver license and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Picks up trash on the property and in common areas, including driveways, parking lots, curbs, and public areas.
• Ensures dumpster area is emptied and kept clean.
• Uses power blower and pressure washer to clean breezeways, steps, sidewalks, pool area, and other common areas.
• Maintains flowerbeds, plants and grass areas, including pool cleaning and snow removal.
• Walks the property several times a day and picks up new debris.
• Cleans carpets in resident apartments.
• Communicates with supervisor regarding status of work and issues.
• Schedules, monitors and performs work orders as needed.
• Ensures maintenance supplies are in stock and orders supplies.
• Assists office staff with posting notices on resident doors.
• Performs emergency maintenance work as required.
• Ensures work areas are neat and orderly after work orders are completed.
• Inspects buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness.
