Job summary

smcexternalcareers is seeking a Grounds Technician to maintain the community’s interior and exterior areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming appearance for residents and visitors.

You will support landscaping, trash removal, and basic repairs while keeping an inventory of cleaning supplies and coordinating with the maintenance team. Availability for rotating weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in written form.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all community common areas per standards.
• Keep sidewalks, parking areas, and building interiors free of trash and debris.
• Perform daily grounds audits and report findings to management.
• Assist with apartment turnover as needed.
• Test smoke detectors in vacant apartments.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and customers.
• Contribute to community engagement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
